Bob Cusack has operated his comfortable operation near the mouth of the Copper River for many years, and during that time has been renowned for offering one of the finest values in Alaskan fly-out lodge destinations. Turneffe Flats With summer and fall on their way, some of our best fishing is just around the corner. As you all know, our large migratory tarpon begin showing up in April with our peak tarpon season during the summer and early fall. Summer weather is generally very pleasant with a comfortable East to South East sea breeze and high temps in the mid 80's or low 90's. With the availability of tarpon, summer is definitely Grand Slam Season as the permit fishing and bonefishing are also excellent. Fall tends to be a bit cooler and aside from an occasional early cold front, the weather is wonderful. Tarpon fishing can be good well into October and the bonefishing and permit fishing is great. Although summer and fall offer peak fishing conditions here, we realize that there are many other good fishing choices during those times so we are again offering a Summer and Fall Angler's Special below.
