Getting There

No matter when you decide to travel to Turneffe Island Resort, you are in for a relatively easy trip.

There is non-stop service from many cities in the southern US and easy connections to them from anywhere else in the US.

• American Airlines: Daily flights from Miami, FL and Dallas, TX
• Continental Airlines: Non-stop service from Houston, TX and Newark, NJ
• US Airways: Non-stop flight from Charlotte, NC
• TACA: Flights from Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA and San Francisco, CA
• Delta: Flights from Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA

You should arrive into Belize International Airport no later than 2:30 p.m. on Saturday for standard transfer arrangements to the lodge. A 2:50 PM arrival will be accepted from May 30 – September 1, 2009. You will be met at the Belize International Airport by the lodge staff, clear customs and be transferred to the waterfront Princess Hotel Marina to continue your transfer to the lodge by boat. The boat will depart from the dock at 3:00 PM (during the period May 30 – September 1, it will leave at approx 3:30 PM). On your scheduled return flight from Belize City (no earlier than 11:00 AM) to the U.S. please allow two hours to make your connecting flight from your U.S. gateway city to your home destination.

The scheduled boat transfer to the island is on a 52’ boat that provides you a safe and comfortable ride to the resort. It is a very interesting trip with possible sightings of dolphin and manatee and many varieties of bird species. You will sail over the Mesoamerican reef (the second longest barrier reef in the world at over 600 miles in length), through open seas and around many cayes (small islands) on the way to Turneffe Atoll.
