| Fishing Day
Meals are served at 7:30 AM,
12:30 PM and 7:00 PM. You won't want to miss a meal, so listen
for the bell. All meals are served family style. You may have coffee
or tea delivered to your room porch between 6:30-7:00 each morning-
just let them know.
Typical Day:
A typical day begins with coffee,
which is delivered to your room, followed by a delicious hot breakfast
about 7:30 am. Following breakfast, you're off in one of
the lodge's Dolphin Super Skiffs to wade the outside flats, pole
the interior, fish the creeks and lagoons for tarpon, hunt snook
or barracuda, troll the reef, or just do it all!
Anglers sometimes opt to head
out at or before daylight, typically to tarpon fish, and then return
for breakfast. Anglers also have the option of packing a
lunch and staying out all day, or returning to the lodge for one
of the kitchen's famous creations. The skiffs are typically back
at the dock by 5:00 pm, in order not to miss the delicious hors
d’oeuvres and cocktails served in the bar, followed by a gourmet
dinner at 7:30 pm.
The lodge employs a "line
up" of some of the most talented, friendly and professional
guides in the Caribbean. The guides are local Belizeans,
who grew up on those waters, and have been guiding for many years.
They are hard working, patient, and capable of instructing fly and
spin fishing. The guides captain a top-notch fleet of radio-equipped
Dolphin Super Skiffs, and each guide is paired up with no more than
two anglers per boat.
If you need equipment, don’t
worry. They have rental equipment at the resort in #8, 10
and 12 outfits. Just make sure we know about it at the time of your
booking so we can reserve what you will need.
