Wading for Bonefish...
Nothing else that you can do with a fly rod is more demanding than stalking a wily bonefish on foot. It's an angling challenge that will incorporate your every skill as an outdoorsman.
Spotting a fish is no less difficult than trying to pick up a buck in dense brush. Putting the fly in front of an always moving target is tough as tracking a dove with a twenty-gauge. It's an experience that satiates the primal urge to hunt that is
buried in us all. Wading the flats is the ultimate angling rush. It's no piece of cake, locating your own fish, positioning yourself correctly with the wind and the sun at your back, working your way into striking distance of the foraging fish, and making an accurate cast in the wind that never seems to cooperate. If
it's done right, you'll have to battle both your adrenaline rush and a panic-stricken bonefish that swims the hundred meter dash in 6.2 seconds. This is when you find out if your rod and reel are worth what you paid. This is what it's all about!
