North Riding Point Club - Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas
Opened in 1996, North Riding Point Club was designed and built to set a new standard in flats fishing and has fulfilled its grand promise to become the "Rolls Royce" of bonefish resorts. In the more than two decades that we have been traveling to the
Bahamas, we have never visited a more luxurious or better bonefish destination!
The Club is situated on a private, pristine white sandy beach on the southern (ocean side) of Grand Bahama Island. It's well removed from the hustle and bustle of Freeport, but only 20 minutes from the International Airport and easily accessed from anywhere
in the United States.
Guests are met after clearing customs and driven directly to the lodge where they spend the night in comfort...well-fed, relaxed, rested and ready to pursue the trophy bonefish that are the main attraction on the seldom fished shores of Grand Bahama.
North Riding Point was developed by experienced flyfishermen that have spent their lives on the flats of the Bahamas. Every facet of the lodge, location and services were designed to meet the needs of sophisticated angling travelers searching for a top quality
flats experience.
The Lodge at North Riding Point Club Big bonefish are the targets at North Riding Point Club. The site was chosen because of its proximity to the deep shelf and blue water that flushes the flats on each rising tide and covers them with more trophy-sized fish than are normally encountered in the
Bahamas.
Guests rendezvous with their guides each morning and depart for a 20 to 40 minute ride by vehicle to one of five launch sites. North Riding Point uses sleek, comfortable, state-of-the-art superskiffs powered by 70 HP Evinrude engines, and are equipped with cellular
phones to provide easy access to the office while fishing, and provide a margin of safety or just to report on a large catch.
At first encounter, this method of launch and retrieval appears to cut into the fishing time spent on the water. In actuality, anglers are comfortably able to access areas in minutes that might be separated by four hours of tidal effect. Too, North Riding Point
Club anglers remain very versatile in their daily destinations and can custom tailor the schedule to angling ability and interests. The time spent in productive waters is increased, and fishing over fish that are near heavy boat traffic and angling pressure is reduced.
North Riding Point Club is deluxe by any standards, but the real attraction is the outstanding fishing, superb guides and trophy opportunities on picture-perfect flats. The new North Riding Point Club location offers access to a huge new expanse of seldom fished
flats on the north side of Grand Bahama Island that harbors incredible numbers of trophy bonefish. Best of all, it's being run by true, seasoned professionals that understand the intricacies of Bahamian bonefishing and the interests and demands of veteran anglers.
Fishing is exceptional and the experience is superb at North Riding Point Club. Understandably, space is very limited.
