Ryan Peterson
Like many employees at The Fly Shop, we found Ryan as he had come
up momentarily for air between a long succession of amazingly unique
and fascinating life experiences (and he was only 27 that year!)
Born and raised in Alaska, Ryan showed up for work in a well-worn
woolen shirt, Carhartts, and a pair of battered sorels. Our kind

Bill MartsBill is what you’d call a “citified”
country boy. He was raised in rural Oklahoma and cut his teeth fishing
farm ponds with a cane pole for bream or anything else that would
eat a crawdad or minnow, including snapping turtles – that’s
another story you’ll have to ask him about. When the fishing
got slow he’d take his .22 rifle, .410 shotgun or bow and
arrow and hunt bullfrogs, rabbits, squirrels or just about anything
