| This specially designed mothership sails the fjords of Chilean Patagonia and is equipped with a helicopter, jet boats, and zodiacs that can access parts of the world that few people and fewer fishermen will ever see.
This floating lodge is like none before. Fast, safe, powerful and over forty-five meters long, the Nomad has a range that will take it below the Lake District of Southern Chile and into the coastal islands and fjordlands searching for rivers and streams beyond the reach of conventional transportation and the most intrepid fishermen.
The hundreds of huge Pacific islands between Laguna San Rafael and Puerto Montt still have rivers that are yet to be named, and the countless rivers, lakes, and bocas harbor rainbows and magnificent brook trout as well as both resident and sea run brown trout. Steelhead, kings and silver salmon now migrate into the short streams and coastal rivers while huge, hard-bodied rainbows cruise the clear, shallow, saltwater flats of the coastline.
The Nomad operation is deluxe by the most outrageous of world standards! Each day's schedule and destination has been planned by Andres Ergas, the fanatic fly fisherman and outdoorsman that is president and owner of the Nomad, and who has spent years of his life hiking, fishing, camping, and exploring what remains the most pristine part of his native Chile.
There is more to the Nomad experience than can possibly be imagined. Timing and transportation are the essence of this angling adventure. The Nomad mothership is outfitted with a Bell 407, one of the world's most fully equipped choppers and the ability to explore Chile by air, land, and sea. Cargo baskets carry Zodiacs, and custom-welded Rogue aluminum jet boats that speed anglers up any potential and often never before fished Chilean streams and rivers.
