The Angling Schedule and the Fishing on the Rio Grande:
Each two anglers are assigned a guide and vehicle. No more than six (6) anglers will fish the premier pools of lower Rio Grande from La Villa de Estancia Maria Behety. These lower pools, many of which have never been available to Estancia Maria Behety anglers before, fill with chrome bright, sea-lice-covered sea-runs with each high tide, twice a day. These lower pools are absolutely perfect for anglers that enjoy fishing double-handed rods. The best of the fishing is usually in the morning, late afternoon, and evening until dusk. Because the most productive angling often lasts late into the day during the long days of the early (December-January) season, many serious anglers fish each morning, then return to the river in the afternoon, well-rested and prepared for the pre-nocturnal battles. Dinner is served at 11:00 p.m. or later, late by American standards.

However, non-angling guests will find this deluxe facility just as tempting. The Menendez Family, proprietors of the Estancia Maria Behety, have developed a terrific non-angling program, perfect for accompanying spouses. Cultural visits to surrounding Estancias, day trips to Ushuaia, sheep dog herding demonstrations, sheep shearing shed visits, horseback riding and more will be available to non-anglers.
