Rods:
9 to 9 1⁄2 foot models, in 7 and 8 wt size range. If you are
going to spend a day just fishing dries in the stream, a 5-wt is
adequate in all but the strongest of winds. Favorites include Winston
Bllmx, Sage Z-Axis, and The Fly Shop H20 rods
Reels:
Ross Vexsis, Galvan Torque, Sage 4500 Series and The Fly Shop S4LA

Rio Steelhead/Atlantic Salmon Floating Line, Scientific Anglers
Uniform Sink Plus Full Sinking Lines in medium to fast sink rates
Leaders:
7 1⁄2’ 0X tapered leaders, with tippet spools to match.
Many anglers prefer to make a simple knotted tapered leader from
3 sections of Maxima Chameleon or Ultragreen tippet – 2 feet
each of 20#, 15# and 10#. For fishing dries in the stream, a 7-8
foot, 3X leader works well.
