Reservations and Rates

When we first visited Talaheim Lodge several years ago, we immediately recognized the unique nature of the operation.

The owner, Mark Miller, has operated for 30 years; he is a world-class pilot (both fixed-wing and helicopters), and truly enjoys the lodge business and sharing his expertise and years of Alaskan adventures with his guests. A week with Mark and his guides is a true adventure.

The travel staff here at The Fly Shop communicates regularly with Mark Miller, and has up-to-the-minute access to their calendar. When you call us, we can tell you immediately what space is available for the upcoming season, as well as what to expect, fishing-wise, during any open weeks. After a verbal confirmation of your reservation you'll receive a short confirmation letter or e-message showing the dates of your stay, terms of the booking and an invoice showing the cost of the trip. A 50% deposit is normally due within two weeks of deposit. Final payments are due 60 days prior to arrival. Deposits and final payments can be made with either a credit card or check.

The 2011 weekly angling rate at Talaheim Lodge is $6800/person.

Inclusions
Your Talaheim Lodge Angling Excursion includes: Round trip air fare via bush plane from Anchorage to Talaheim Lodge; all lodging, guides, and helicopter fly outs designated in your package; river boating/fishing day(s) from the lodge, meals with wine and beer served with the evening dinner.

Non inclusions
Not included in your angling package at Talaheim Lodge: Fishing equipment; Alaska State Fishing License (and tags if applicable); gratuities; alcohol other than what is served at dinner and items of a personal nature.

Payment Policy
Please make all checks payable to "The Fly Shop." Personal checks, Master Charge, Visa, American Express and Discovery are all accepted as payment. Reservations must be confirmed by deposit within 14 days of receipt of invoice. Final payments are due 60 days prior to scheduled arrival. In the event the reservation is made less than 60 days prior to arrival, the original invoice will be for the entire balance.

Cancellations and Refunds
In the event that a cancellation of reservations is necessary, please notify The Fly Shop immediately! The Cancellation Policy at Talaheim Lodge is standard for most of the top Alaskan lodges. Deposits and/or final payments are refundable if replacement anglers can be found for canceling parties. Finding replacements are ultimately the responsibility of the canceling party, though The Fly Shop and the lodge will certainly help try to find alternates, as well.
