| Fishing
Day
Following a leisurely – and
filling – breakfast in the lodge overlooking the bay, everyone
will split up with their guides and make their respective short
journeys to the fishing areas of their choice.
Some will go out in the lodge’s
beautifully-appointed ocean-going fishing boats to catch
chrome-bright salmon, halibut, or the many varieties of bottomfish,
most of which are found within the protected confines of the local
bay; others will take smaller boats to one of the many local streams,
targeting fresh chum and pink salmon, and dolly varden with either
fly rods or light spinning gear; still others can opt to take a
short hike to beautiful local lakes to catch the gorgeously-marked
cutthroat trout found there. As well, guests can choose to go out
whale-watching, pull crab and shrimp traps, or use the lodge’s
sea kayaks to explore the local rugged coastline.
